On Friday, September 4th, we celebrated an incredible milestone — 30 years of TGI Fridays in Cyprus — with a spectacular anniversary event that brought together almost 2,000 guests for a night filled with energy, entertainment and unforgettable memories.
For three decades, TGI Fridays has been more than just a restaurant. It has been a place where friends and families come together, celebrations begin, and special moments are created around great food, signature drinks and the unmistakable Fridays feeling.
The celebration took place next to our TGI Fridays restaurant on Diagorou Street in Nicosia, at the very location where our journey in Cyprus began back in 1996.
Our guests joined us after securing their invitations through our anniversary activations and competitions, becoming part of this very special celebration alongside our team members, partners, friends and representatives of the Cypriot media.
The highlight of the night came with the arrival of Eleni Foureira, one of Greece’s biggest pop stars, who took the stage and transformed the anniversary celebration into an unforgettable live party, entertaining the nearly 2,000 guests with her incredible energy and performance.
Before Eleni Foureira’s appearance, our TGI Fridays team created one of the most memorable moments of the evening, coming together with the crowd to sing the iconic Fridays birthday song and celebrate with the candles of our spectacular 30th anniversary cake.
The evening was hosted by popular radio presenter Ilias Chaldoupis, while DJ PACO brought the party atmosphere to life behind the decks, travelling from Athens to Cyprus especially for this very special occasion.
Since opening our first restaurant in 1996, TGI Fridays Cyprus has grown into a network of 9 restaurants across the island — three in Nicosia, three in Limassol, two in Larnaca and one in Paphos — proudly creating opportunities for around 500 team members and welcoming more than one million guests every year.
For 30 years, we have been part of the lives and memories of generations across Cyprus — from family celebrations and gatherings with friends to everyday moments that deserve to feel special.
